Adele: Rise of the mummy review

So here's my take on this movie. As fierce as the title may sound, the movie is sort of the opposite of what you may have expected.

The title of the movie was suppose to be "The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec". I don't know why they would want to change it to Adele: Rise Of the Mummy. You might enter the movie hall expecting a Mummy series; which is of course not. This movie is based on a French comic book by French writer Jacques Tardi. The movie was dubbed into English, of course.

There was no pace if you ask me, and the plot was kinda weird. I think the original title suits the movie better as it was not all about mummies. It was Adele's journey, adventures and encounterments.
It's more of a comedic movie. For starters, mummies are from egypt, they should be speaking their egyptian language.Instead, they spoke british english; pretty formal british/posh english. Lol?
Anyway, I would rate it a 3/5. I can't even remember some parts of the movie. The ending was kinda sucky too.

It's halloween, people!

It's halloween. Everyone is going out clubbin'. I just came back from watching a movie called "Adelle: Rise of the mummy". Wasn't what I expected to be. It was more of a comedy.

Anyhus, went for a dinner cum birthday celebration with my gals last night at Texas. Had sisha and we were all high. Ong finally learned how to suck and blow! Hahahaha~~~ Kesiokan suda.

I got them a Victoria's Secret Lip Gloss pallete and 2 bottles of tiny liquor. Tee hee~ I hope they like it =X

Hmmmm, what else. Meh, I'll upload the sisha pics later. Tata~

Today I went to another class at Core Fitness called BodyPump. Ohemgee it was intense!!!! Lifting weights and stuff. Danny, the instructor said that 1st timers will have aching bodies the next day. I guess i'll be aching tomorrow. After a few more bodypumping lessons, I guess it should be better.

Jack had his hair cut today and he permed a little bit. It's nice. Tee hee. Love his new hair cut. Then again, I love whatever style he chooses to do with his hair :D

I feel so sore. No pain, no gain? Hahahah. I had a hard time washing my hair though. Meh~

Gym!

I registered myself to core fitness gym today with Emily and Valerie and we started working out right away. Oh em gee, I am so sore. The RPM cycling thingy was intense! My ass hurts, my vagina hurts and my legs are sore. Hahha...Anyway, lets see if there is any difference in 1 month.

Okay, so I bought this 'magic seed' for RM2 and planted it since Friday and there is still no sign of life. It was suppose to start growing the next day :( Why isn't mine growing? Not even a crack or whatever. Grow you stupid seed, GROW! When leaves start coming out, there's words written underneath it. That's what so special about it. There's hidden meessages. It starts off like a bean, and starts growing just like any plant. Awesome, right? Hahaha.

I hope I can get a good night sleep tonight. I don't wanna stay up like yesterday.

Another sleepless night?

Ugh. Slept at 4 am =.= Woke up at 9am =.= fml

3rd anniversary update and some other stuff

So yeah, celebrated our 3rd anniversary at his place. Had a home cooked meal. I think we worked ourself a bit too much till we were too tired to eat. We were already kind of hungry before we began preparing the meal. I guess you can say that we were so hungry, we became full. Lols? We didn't really eat much. Lots of food went to waste. :( Too hungry to eat. At the end of the day, we just hung out and cuddled. The money we spent on buying the food and ingredients is equivalent to eating out. We didn't plan properly because his place had practically nothing like cooking oil, pepper and some other condiments. I guess we're gonna eat outside for our next anniversary. A very simple and tiring anniversary = o = At least I get to spend time with him; just staying at home and chillax (sort of). I'll update some of the pics. We didn't even get to take pictures = . =

Anyway, I watched "The other guys" last night and it was awesome! I was laughing from beginning till end. I'd watch it again. Tee hee.. Oh, and I bought in advanced the tickets for "The child's eye 3D" this Sunday, 1pm. Gonna watch it with my girls and my boy. Hahahah~

Ahhh, I gained weight. Like, for realllssss! My clothes are getting tight D: I need exercise. The Korea trip that was supposedly be in this December is canceled and changed to another season. Maybe during spring because my parents are afraid that my grandma couldn't take the coldness during winter in Korea.

So, I guess that's it for now. Ong should be here anytime soon. She asked me out for lunch; Sang nyiuk mien XD

I would assume that at one point in everyone’s life, you’ve experienced this. It’s that feeling of inadequacy, the feeling that no matter what you do, sometimes it’s just not good enough. It’s okay to be proud of yourself once in a while. No one’s going to take it against you for feeling a sense of pride, especially when you know your strengths and you know where you’re good at. Sometimes, though, when you think you’re good at something, you find that somewhere, somehow, someone is better than you. Most of the time, someone’s always better than you.

It’s like, when you dress up one morning thinking, “wow, I look good” and then you come across somebody who wears a better outfit. Or when you tell yourself you’re beautiful and then you meet somebody who’s even more beautiful, so you just stick to saying, “well, I’m beautiful in my own right. Fuck her/him”.Or when you know a computer application and you’re good at it because people rely on you all the time when it comes to that, and then you meet someone who’s more knowledgeable, so you kind of just keep your mouth shut on how good you are at it and dismiss any praise saying, “No, it’s really nothing”. And you know deep inside that you mean it. Or when you feel that there is something in you that’s worth showing to people, like a talent or an ability you’ve always known you’re good at and because you’ve never been told you were bad at it, and then you meet somebody who has better talent that’s worth showing, better figure that’s worth drooling over, same ability but better than yours. So what’s left to do?

Two things, and these I learned just recently. One, you can sulk in depression, if you’re really that affected and your ego is hit badly, and feel insecure all you want. I would advise that you don’t show it. You never know just how people can sometimes enjoy watching others in misery. The good thing about this? Nothing. Simply put, it’s a defeatist attitude. It doesn’t get you anywhere. What good will it do if you looked down on yourself? No one’s perfect, not even the person who’s better than you. Sure, she’s more beautiful, sexier, probably kinder than most people, but there’s always something to be told behind every beautiful face or behind the kindest soul. There is no perfect being. The second and most practical option is don’t overdo yourself. Be humble and keep in mind that though you may not be the best, you’re doing the best that you can, and that is already fulfilling. Overdoing yourself might just end up with dissapointment.

Be humble. Humility is one of the things people hardly ever talk about when it comes to achievements. You see, people like to boast and show off their achievements. And it’s not because they want to rub it in your face just so you would feel inferior. On the contrary, it’s more for them than it is for the other person. It’s boosting their ego, increasing their self-esteem, and it’s only validated by other people. So be humble. Yes, admit to yourself these strengths, but keep them to yourself and thank the Lord for them. There is nothing that we have or that we are able to do that was not given to us by God. God gifted us with unique abilities and different personalities. No two people on Earth are ever the same. You can’t always be the best in everything, because then if you’re just so perfect, you might as well be God.

Sleepless nights

Currently listening to Bruno Mars-Talking to the moon (My current obssesion)

Ugh. Been pretty much an insomaniac these couple of days. Why? Lotso stuff to think about. Sigh~ Anyway, I watched Sammy's Adventure in 3D with Jack last night. It was as awesome as a possum XD The effects were pretty awesome and in your face. I'm waiting for the 3D horror movie. I'm scared and excited at the same time.

Since the passing of my great grandma, my grandma has been pretty bored. She's so bored that she would walk to kompleks likas, jog for 2 rounds and walk back home. At least she's keeping herself healthy. My dad suggested that she go on a vacation since she mentioned that she wanted to travel. So, my dad asked her where she would like to go. She said Korea and dad said okay but he wants me and my sis (and maybe my cousin) to tag along the tour to keep and eye on my grandma. Tee hee~ The tour might be in December. Yay winter :D Since Jessica is so reluctant to come back, biarla dia di sana KL. Haha~ Travelling season. Hahaha~ Awesome. Dad suggested Australia but grandma wants to go to Korea.

Hm, what else. Oh, yesterday was 10/10/10. A 'special' date to most of the people. A lot of people got married on that day. Some even 'rushed' their marriage and went and sign. But, the wedding reception will be next year. O-kay. =\

This thursday, 14/10/10, is my anniversary with Jack. As I mentioned in my earlier post, we're having a home cooked dinner but should I make a card or something? I mean, honestly, I don't think there is any more room in his bedroom for him to display my creations. Hahahaha~ We'll see. Till next times. Toodles~

It's been a while since I touched my blog. Meh, been slacking and what not. Oh, and don't forget binge eating. Lols :D I'm done dieting.

Anyway, as some of you may know, my great-grandma had just passed away. Am still not used to it. I mean, it's so quiet and my grandma is lonely and bored. :(

Jack and I will be celebrating our 3rd year anniversary at home. We'll be cooking the meals together. Hahaha~ It's gonna be great. Oh, and we'll be going to KL (February) and Taiwan (May) next year. Will be going to Taiwan for a pre-wedding photoshoot for 1 week. Hehehehe~~ Thank God my parents were okay with it. Hahaha~ Mum and Dad was like, "Sooner or later de la. You're gonna get married anyway". Then from there, it seems like alot of people found out.

Last week, my mum received a telephone call from one of her friend and was shocked to hear what her friend said. She said, "I didn't know you were promoted to Mother-in-law already." LOL~ I didn't know I got married already. Hahaha. I wonder who told her that.

My sister's kids, Pebbles and Bambam are getting more and more stubborn because we're giving them more freedom now. They can roam around the backyard till dinner time. But when you want them to go back into their cages, they would growl. I mean, only Bambam hahaha. Pebbles is still the obedient one. But Bambam, he'd growl and whine all the way into his cage!

As for another fatso in the house, Jonas, he is also getting on my nerves. He's abusing me! Hahaha. He kicked me in the nose, shin and punched my arm. Oh, and he said that I sound like Jessica when I nag at him. Wth? Lol. I nag like her but I don't hit like her. Oh yea, Jonas swears alot too. He'd be like, "Oh shit", "What the hell".............. Gosh, all thanks to my potty mouth. Hahahahaha~~~

Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'll update some more later. Toodles~~
